Sommarøy

Sommarøy is a picturesque island in the western part of the municipality of Tromsø, Norway, known as the 'island without time'. It offers white sandy beaches reminiscent of the Riviera and crystal clear waters.

This unique place is famous for its unusual natural phenomena - the midnight sun (from late May to mid-July) and the aurora borealis (from September to April). The lack of light pollution makes it an ideal place to observe these phenomena.

The island offers numerous activities such as kayaking, hiking and boat cruises where you can see whales and dolphins.
