avatarCarsten Möller4 years agoVery beautiful and interesting, but not entirely safe with children. So please be careful! Although it's all accessible, with steps and railings, it was already showing its age when we visited. There's also a danger of slipping under the beams! So keep kids on hand! Otherwise, very beautiful, photogenic, and interesting. It's worth it, even just to walk there and back! Be careful, according to Google, the path to the rocky trail isn't quite as indicated, but it's easy to find with the signs and with a bit of orientation, it's fine! It's worth it!
avatarMartin Weninga year agoA hiking trail north of Gößweinstein leads past the local cliffs. The path is not difficult, but steep at times. There are several different routes. You can start behind the town hall (I did this; it took 30 minutes) and walk toward the Martinswand. First, there's a rock face, then a rock tunnel, and finally, a series of stairs descends between towering cliffs, which are quite impressive. You emerge below the Martinswand (which you can't see because of the forest) and can then descend north to the Stempfermühle on the Wiesent River (you can also start from there in the opposite direction, of course). Or you can walk back to Gößweinstein. From there, you reach the Martinswand (below). The view from the Martinswand (above) can only be reached from the west.
