Elsheimer "Blume" - Selztal Terroir Route

Elsheimer 'Blume' - Selztal Terroir Route is a fascinating 6-kilometer hiking trail in the Rheinhessen region. Named after the famous German Baroque painter Adam Elsheimer, the route leads through scenic hills and vineyards with a unique limestone base.

The trail offers 12 information stations where you can learn about the artist's life and work, combining art, history and nature. A special attraction are the rocks containing fossils of corals, shells and sharks' teeth, testifying to the region's maritime past.
