Basteiaussicht

Basteiaussicht is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Germany, rising 194 meters above the Elbe River. This majestic rock formation offers breathtaking panoramas of the Elbe Mountains and the Elbe Valley.

From the 76.5-meter-long Bastei stone bridge, which connects the rock formations, you can enjoy extraordinary views of Königstein Fortress and Mount Lilienstein. The site has inspired many artists, including the famous Caspar David Friedrich.

Also nearby are the ruins of the medieval fortress of Neurathen, the largest in the region, where you can see a replica of a historic sling.
