Description
The European Bread Museum is a unique cultural and historical institution dedicated to the theme 'From Grain to Bread'. The museum presents more than 8,000 years of history and development of agriculture, grain processing and bread production.
The historic Baroque building houses fascinating exhibits ranging from the ribbon pottery culture (circa 5500 BC) to modern times. Outside, you can admire a historic windmill from 1812 and a water mill with a backhoe wheel from Tyrol.
The museum also has reconstructed working ovens from the Neolithic period, which allow you to see the bread-baking process with your own eyes.
