Description
Historische Wurstkuchl is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the world, with a history of more than 900 years. It originally served as a canteen for workers building the nearby Stone Bridge and Regensburg Cathedral in the 12th century.
The restaurant's specialty is charcoal-fired grilled sausages, served with homemade sauerkraut and mustard on tin plates - exactly as they were hundreds of years ago. The sausage recipe includes a secret blend of herbs and spices.
The rustic interior with wooden benches and tables and the staff in traditional Bavarian costumes create an authentic atmosphere to take you back in time.
