Nationalpark-Informationsstelle Hintersee is a fascinating information center in the heart of Berchtesgaden National Park.

The 'Klausbachhaus' building houses the interactive exhibition '1,000 Years of Ups and Downs', telling the history of Alpine pastures and agriculture. On the second floor you will learn about ancient breeds of livestock, and on the second floor you will discover a wealth of biodiversity, including insects and spiders.

Just a 20-minute walk from the center is the golden eagle and bearded vulture observation station, where you can admire these majestic birds of prey in their natural habitat for free.
