Description
Naturpark Harz is a scenic national park in northern Germany, covering the Harz mountain range.
It is a nature lover's paradise offering spectacular landscapes ranging from dense beech forests to peat bogs and heathlands. Unique microclimates foster biodiversity with more than 5,000 animal species and 1,000 plant species.
The park is crisscrossed by numerous hiking trails of varying difficulty. Adventurers can hike to Bodetal, known as the 'Grand Canyon of Germany', or ride the historic Brockenbahn steam train to the region's highest peak.
