Description
Von-Halfern Park is a charming 6.8-hectare green space in Aachen, founded by wealthy textile manufacturer and dendrologist Friedrich von Halfern.
The park is famous for its impressive collection of rare tree species from North America, Europe and Asia, including ambrosia, araucaria and Lebanese cedars, which even survived a violent storm in 1902 and are now protected natural monuments.
It's the perfect place to take a stroll among the botanical giants, picnic in the picturesque scenery or relax with the kids in the playground. The park's tranquil atmosphere also lends itself to romantic strolls.
