Valle Nuevo National Park

Valle Nuevo National Park is a true paradise for nature and outdoor enthusiasts in the Dominican Republic's mountains.

The park impresses with its diversity of ecosystems - from mist forests to grasslands and pine savannas. In an area of more than 40,900 hectares, you can enjoy 531 species of plants, including 138 endemic, and a wealth of fauna with 66 species of birds.

Unforgettable experiences are provided by scenic trekking trails, the Aguas Blancas waterfall and the mysterious Valle Nuevo Pyramids, carved in 1958 to commemorate the completion of the San José de Ocoa-Constanza road.
