Description
Lapworth Museum of Geology is one of the oldest specialized geological museums in the UK, operating since 1880.
The museum has an impressive collection of more than 250,000 artefacts, including fossils, minerals and rocks. Particularly noteworthy are replicas of Allosaurus and Pteranodon skeletons and a rock wall displaying major rock types.
Interactive exhibits, including a globe projector and a microscope with user-friendly controls, allow visitors to examine real fossils up close. Admission to the museum is free, making it an accessible and affordable place for all geology enthusiasts.
