Blakesley Hall Museum

Blakesley Hall Museum is a fascinating monument dating back to 1590 and is one of the oldest buildings in Birmingham. This perfectly preserved Tudor-style house allows you to travel back in time to the 16th century.

The interiors, furnished according to 17th-century inventory, are stunning in their authenticity, especially the painted chamber, whose secrets were only discovered after damage from World War II.

The gardens surrounding the property, with traditional herbs and an orchard, provide the perfect place for relaxation. The grounds also feature the legendary Gilbertstone, a stone moved according to local legends by the giant Gilbert.
