Description
Trowbridge Museum is a fascinating site dedicated to the 1000-year history of textile production in the West of England. It is housed in the historic Home Mills building, a former woolen factory.
The museum boasts unique exhibits, including one of the world's five surviving Spinning Jenny machines and a folush machine patented in 1833.
There are interactive attractions for families, such as a 'Mouse Hunt' with 20 hidden mice, and a Stumpy Club for children and teens. There are also regular temporary exhibitions and a biennial Weaving and Textiles Festival.
