Description
Ancient Peparethos' Asklepion is one of the oldest sanctuaries of Asclepius in the Aegean Sea, dating back to the 4th century BC. The ruins of the temple complex contain fascinating artifacts - amphorae, Attic vases, terracotta figurines, and a seal with the inscription 'ASKL' confirming the cult of the god of medicine.
The place delights with its peaceful views of the bay and allows you to travel back in time to when the ancient Greeks sought healing here. A small museum displays the most valuable finds from the excavations.
