Museo de la Altagracia Alejandro E. Grullón E. is a fascinating cultural and historical museum located in Higüey, right next to the Cathedral Basilica of Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia.

The museum has six exhibition halls displaying an impressive collection of paintings, gold jewelry and historical artifacts from the 17th to 20th centuries. Of particular note are 16 oval oil paintings by Diego José Hilaris, depicting miracles attributed to the Virgin Mary.
