Description

Muralla Romana de Tarragona is an impressive monument of Roman defensive architecture, built between 217 and 197 BC. It is one of the oldest Roman structures outside of Italy and part of the Tárraco Archaeological Complex, a UNESCO-listed site.

The walls are characterized by cyclopean blocks and defensive towers, and the most interesting sections can be seen along the Passeig Arqueològic.

It's an ideal spot for history buffs, photographers and quiet strollers, offering panoramic views of Tarragona and the Mediterranean. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes - the terrain can be uneven!
