Monte Lussari / Višarje is a magical place in the Julian Alps where three cultures meet: Italian, Slovenian and Austrian.
This picturesque mountain offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. You can hike the famous Pilgrim's Trail (Sentiero del Pellegrino), which runs for 10 kilometers and rises 950 meters.
At the summit is a charming village with the Pilgrim Church of Santa Maria del Lussari, which was built in the 14th century after a shepherd found a statue of the Virgin Mary here. In winter the place turns into a skier's paradise with the challenging Di Prampero slope.
