Monsanto Ecological Park

Monsanto Ecological Park is Lisbon's largest green area, stretching over about 10 square kilometers. This unique ecosystem was created in the 1930s as a Monsanto hillside reforestation project.

The park offers 14 kilometers of biodiversity trails, viewpoints with 360-degree panoramic views of the city and the Tagus River, and numerous picnic areas.

Physical activity enthusiasts will appreciate the running trails, cycling opportunities and skate parks, while families will appreciate the playgrounds and recreational areas. This is a true green lung of the city, where history meets nature.
