Description
Moerdaoga National Forest Park is the largest forest park in China, whose name means 'to go into battle on horseback' in Mongolian. Legend has it that Genghis Khan himself shouted this slogan while hunting in 1207.
The park is stunning with its pristine forests, mountains and rivers, and the autumn landscapes with larch trees and white birch trees are breathtaking. Highlights include the Ormosia Slope full of squirrels, the 'Nine Crests at a Glance' lookout point and the mysterious 'Bailu Island' with its tall birch trees and purple bushes.
