El trono de piedra del Tepozteco is a fascinating archaeological site dedicated to the Aztec god Tepoztēcatl, associated with the alcoholic drink pulque.

The temple is located 600 meters above the town of Tepoztlán and consists of two rooms with distinctive pillars. The steep climb is a challenge, but the reward is breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Watch out for aggressive koati (raccoon-like animals) that may try to extract food from you. It's a good idea to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
