Torvet

Torvet is a historic square in the heart of Trondheim, which has been the center of city life since the 12th century. It is dominated by an imposing 18-meter column with a statue of Olav Tryggvason, the city's founder, which also serves as a sundial.

The square impresses with its artistic details - cobblestone patterns, corner sculptures and a musical fountain. It bustles with activity throughout the year during a variety of cultural events, including the Martnan Festival in June and the Christmas market in December.

The Trøndelag Food Festival attracts some 200,000 gourmets of local delicacies here every year. It's the perfect place to experience the authentic spirit of Norway!
