Spomenik NOB

Spomenik NOB is an impressive 7-meter bronze monument located in the center of Maribor. It commemorates nearly 700 hostages and rebels killed by German forces during World War II.

The monument's unique design includes an inner sphere with engraved faces of some 200 Yugoslav heroes, including President Tito. The photo-realistic likenesses were created through precise horizontal grooves in the bronze - a technique rarely seen in other memorial complexes in the former Yugoslavia.
