Description
Vancouver Maritime Museum is a fascinating place for maritime history enthusiasts. The main attraction is the ship St. Roch, the first ship to cross the Northwest Passage from east to west in the 1940s.
You can climb aboard and feel like a crew member from that era. The museum offers an interactive 'Underwater World' zone where children can create and play while learning.
Exhibits include the history of shipwrecks, lighthouses, the fur trade and exploration of the ocean depths. There are also regular rotating art exhibitions exploring our relationship with the sea.
