Description
Jardim da Alameda João de Deus is Faro's largest park, offering an oasis of peace and greenery in the city center.
Nature lovers will appreciate the picturesque lake, charming waterfall and diverse vegetation, including century-old trees. The park is home to many species of birds, including peacocks, which adds to the unique character of the place.
For the active, there is mini golf, a children's playground and outdoor exercise equipment. Note the facade of the former neo-Arabian-style slaughterhouse, which now serves as the entrance to the Faro Municipal Library.
