Former Yanohara Family Residence (gassho-style) is a unique monument of Japanese architecture located in Yokohama. This traditional gassho-style home, characteristic of the Shirakawa-go region, impresses with its authentic wood construction and thatched roof arranged in the shape of hands folded in prayer.
The building is an excellent example of traditional Japanese rural construction and allows you to be transported back in time to ancient Japan. Walking around the mansion, you can admire the craftsmanship of ancient artisans and learn about the daily life of a Japanese family from centuries past.
