Yang8 months agoOne of my favorite discoveries at Megane Bridge in Nagasaki was the heart-shaped stone embedded in the wall. This romantic detail made my visit especially memorable. When I visited in late May, I enjoyed seeing the heart-shaped stone in its unpatched state. My photos from that time captured its original charm, before the authorities recently patched up the empty slots with concrete to maintain the bridge's integrity.
Despite the new concrete patches, visitors have still found creative ways to place coins around certain corners of the stone. This keeps the tradition alive and adds to its allure. The slight rebelliousness of placing coins despite the patches adds a touch of charm and character to the experience of exploring this historic site. The heart-shaped stone continues to attract attention and contributes to the unique experience of visiting Megane Bridge.
