Description
Independence Park is a historical gem of Tel Aviv, whose first trees were planted on Israel's Independence Day in 1949. Explore the southern part of the park, where the remains of the Hasmonean citadel from 2000 years ago are located!
The park offers a colorful playground, hydraulic exercise equipment and bronze statues of King Asa of Judah and King Jehoshaphat of Israel. History buffs will appreciate the monument commemorating the pilots of the War of Independence - David Sprinzak and Mati Sukenik.
This is an ideal place for relaxation and active recreation for the whole family.
