avatarWesley Sussex2 months ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-See in Alghero! Nuraghe Palmavera is an incredible archaeological site and definitely a must-see if you're visiting Alghero. The site is easy to access, with clear signage from the main road, and there's ample parking just a short walk away, which made the visit really convenient. The entrance fee is very reasonable, especially considering the historical significance of the site. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share insights about the Nuragic civilisation, which really enhanced the experience. Overall, a fascinating place with great service and easy logistics—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!
avatarNanna3 weeks agoA fascinating glimpse into history! Visiting an archaeological site sounded interesting to us, but it actually exceeded our expectations. Nuraghe Palmavera is very well-preserved, and walking around the old village offers a glimpse into prehistoric life. There's plenty of information about the different discoveries over time, and how that has shaped the story of Nuraghe Palmavera.
avatarLancia Jordanaa year agoA rare opportunity to enter a fully intact nearly 4000 year nuraghe. Sit on the stone stool in the middle, close your eyes and just imagine how good life must have been like back then. The site is spectacular. These ancient people cleverly built on a hill with sea and mountain views and breezes. They ate grain, meat, fish, fruit and probably wine. They traded with other Mediterranean cultures. I love the history of Sardinia!
