Teatro Politeama Greco

Teatro Politeama Greco is a cultural icon of Lecce, being the second most important theater of southern Italy after Teatro San Carlo in Naples. Built in 1737, it received national monument status in 1979.

The Neoclassical architecture combines historic charm with modern amenities. The theater underwent a significant transformation in 1913, when the wooden structure was replaced with a stone one.
