Castello di Riomaggiore is a 13th-century fortress, a gem of Italy's Cinque Terre region. This quadrangular fort with imposing stone walls and two round towers offers breathtaking views of the Ligurian Sea and the picturesque village.

Originally built at the behest of the Marquis of Turcotti and completed by the Genoese in the 15th century, the castle has undergone numerous transformations - it was even a local cemetery in the 19th century!
