Mount Carmel National Park

Mount Carmel National Park is a unique natural area in Haifa that impresses with its ecological diversity. The expansive park offers scenic hiking trails of varying difficulty, ideal for families and experienced hikers alike.

Among the pine forests and Mediterranean scrubland, you'll discover prehistoric caves listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is famous for its rich flora and fauna and its vantage points with panoramic views of Haifa Bay.

After a fire in 2010 destroyed much of the park, the area was revitalized and regained its former glory, today providing a green contrast to the rest of Israel.
