People's Park

People's Park is a historic Limerick gem, opened in 1877 as a gift from the Earl of Limerick to the city's residents.

The park is stunning with its lush landscaping, manicured lawns and colorful flower beds. Here you'll find a 19th-century concert arbor, the historic Richard Russell Fountain (one of only two ornamental fountains in Ireland) and a Doric column commemorating Thomas Spring Rice.

For the little ones, there is a modern playground, renovated in 2022. The park also hosts numerous cultural events and festivals, combining nature and history in the heart of the city.
