Memento Park - Statues from the Communist Dictatorship

Memento Park - Statues from the Communist Dictatorship is an extraordinary outdoor museum showcasing 42 monumental sculptures from the communist dictatorship in Hungary (1945-1989).

In the park, you'll see impressive statues of Lenin, Marx, Engels and other communist leaders that once adorned Budapest's squares. An exhibition center in the former barracks presents the events of 1956 and the changes after 1989.

An additional attraction is the opportunity to see a Trabant, an iconic car from the GDR, and shop at the Red Star store, where you'll find nostalgic memorabilia from the era.
