Hűvösvölgy, Children's Railway is a unique attraction in Budapest where the trains are managed by children aged 10-14 (under the supervision of adult drivers). This narrow-gauge railroad, formerly known as the Pioneer Railway, travels a scenic 11.2 kilometers through the Buda Hills, offering breathtaking views.
The trip takes about 40-50 minutes and is a great adventure for the whole family. The Hűvösvölgy station has a museum displaying the railroad's history, old tickets, uniforms and signaling equipment.
On selected days, you can take a ride on a vintage steam locomotive, an added attraction for railroad enthusiasts of all ages.
