Hrvatska Ulica slavnih is Croatia's answer to Hollywood's Avenue of the Stars, created in 2005. Located on Opatija's main promenade, it showcases marble stars dedicated to prominent Croatians who have made a name for themselves in sports, culture and science.

Among the personalities commemorated are such legends as basketball player Dražen Petrović and inventor Nikola Tesla. The avenue is not only a tourist attraction, but also an educational lesson on Croatian cultural heritage.
