Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve

Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve is a true paradise for nature lovers. This 440-hectare area of secondary rainforest is one of the most extensive in Hong Kong, with more than 100 species of trees.

The reserve offers several hiking trails of varying difficulty, from the short Nature Trail to longer, color-coded circular routes. A specially designed butterfly garden and small ponds attract a variety of butterflies, frogs and dragonflies.

Tai Po Kau Outdoor Education Center is a great place to observe wildlife and learn about the local ecosystem.
