Budda Tian Tan

The Tian Tan Buddha is an impressive 34-meter bronze statue that towers over Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Also known as the Great Buddha, this majestic statue consists of 202 pieces and weighs more than 250 metric tons.

You have to climb 268 steps to reach the statue, but the effort is rewarded with a breathtaking view of the island. Surrounding the main statue are six smaller statues symbolizing the Six Perfections.

Combining a visit to the Buddha with a ride on the Ngong Ping 360 cable car and a visit to the nearby Po Lin Monastery creates an unforgettable cultural experience.
