Sendero El Cedro

Sendero El Cedro is a scenic hiking trail located in Garajonay National Park on the island of La Gomera.

The trail, about 9.5 kilometers long, leads through a unique laurel forest (laurisilva), a remnant of an ancient ecosystem. During the hike you can admire the lush vegetation, moss-covered trees and mysterious, misty atmosphere.

The trail offers stunning views of the El Cedro Gorge and the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way, stop at the traditional settlement of El Cedro and visit the modest Ermita Nuestra Señora de Lourdes chapel, built in the 1930s by an Englishwoman.
