Description

Cruz de Pinto is a picturesque shrine built in 1643 by navigator Francisco de Pinto as a vote of thanks for surviving a storm at sea.

The route to this unique site, known as 'La Ruta Blanca,' offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coast and the surrounding Sierra de Almijara mountains.

The moderately difficult 5.8-kilometer trail leads through shady hills and open spaces where traditional stone mounds mark the way. During the hike, you can enjoy a variety of flora and fauna and explore historic ruins such as an old livestock building.
