Description
Mên-an-Tol is a fascinating prehistoric monument in Cornwall, consisting of three granite stones, including a distinctive round stone with a hole in the middle.
Numerous legends surround this mysterious monument from the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age. It was believed that passing through the hole in the stone cured diseases - children with rickets were led through it nine times, and women desiring fertility squeezed through seven times during the full moon.
Surrounded by the picturesque moors of Cornwall, it offers not only an encounter with history, but also breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
