Description
Plönlein is a charming historical monument in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, embodying the essence of medieval Germany.
It's a distinctive triangular intersection with two iconic half-timbered townhouses, one of which is a leaning, crooked yellow house from the 15th century. The whole is complemented by a small fountain and the imposing towers of the former city walls - Siebersturm and Kobolzeller Tor.
This picturesque place was the inspiration for Disney's creators in the creation of 'Pinocchio'. You'll take the best photos early in the morning or late afternoon, when the light is most beautiful and the crowds of tourists are smaller.
