Palacio de los Condes de Frigiliana o El Ingenio is a fascinating 16th century monument in the heart of picturesque Frigiliana.

Built from the stones of a former Moorish fortress, this Renaissance palace combines the history of the aristocracy with its industrial past. Converted into a sugar factory, it is the only molasses factory still in operation in all of Europe!
