Description
Haraldshaugen is Norway's national monument commemorating the country's unification under King Harald the Beautiful in 872.
This impressive monument consists of a granite mound surrounded by 29 smaller stone obelisks, symbolizing Norway's historic counties. At the top rises a 17-meter granite obelisk with four bronze panels depicting scenes from King Harald's life.
The site offers picturesque views of the coast, and the surrounding hiking trails are an added attraction. This is an ideal place for lovers of Viking history and Norwegian cultural heritage.
