Description

The Ancient Theater of Delphi is a unique monument dating back to the 4th century BC, located on a natural hillside. The theater was part of the Temple of Apollo complex and played a key role during the Pythian Games.

Its orchestra pit, 18.5 meters in diameter, is surrounded by stone seats, many of which remain today. On the walls one can admire inscriptions commemorating the liberation of slaves and a frieze depicting the works of Hercules.

The theater offers a breathtaking view of the Pleistos Valley and the Gulf of Corinth, making it not only a site of great historical significance, but also a scenic spot.
