Description
Kompuskopf - Buchsbaum-Wanderpfad is a scenic hiking trail connecting the villages of Karden and Müden in the Mosel region of Germany.
This 3.84-kilometer trail offers a moderate level of difficulty and breathtaking views from the Kompuskopf lookout point.
The trail passes through a unique area where wild boxwood grows - the northernmost natural occurrence of this species in Europe. An interesting feature is the local tradition of using boxwood branches as 'palms' for Palm Sunday, which are then hung in homes as a symbol of God's blessing.
