Mayor Tim Kurzbach

Tim Kurzbach has served as mayor of Solingen since 2015, re-elected in 2020. Known for his commitment to social and charitable causes, he was previously active as a city councilor and leader of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) faction.

As mayor, he actively supports local cultural initiatives and events, including the Diversity Festival. His experience also includes work as a Labor Judge and chairman of the Diocesan Council in the Archdiocese of Cologne.

The mayor's office is located in the historic center of Solingen, a city known for its knife and steel production.
