Watzmann Mittelspitze

Watzmann Mittelspitze is the second highest peak of the Watzmann massif in the Bavarian Alps, rising to 2713 meters.

This majestic mountain is shrouded in a fascinating legend of King Watz and his family, turned to stone for their wickedness.

The route to the summit offers unforgettable views of Königssee and the surrounding peaks, but requires climbing experience. Steep sections, exposed passages and changing weather conditions make this hike a real challenge for experienced mountaineers.

Be prepared for a 9-hour crossing of the Watzmann ridge with a stop at the Watzmannhaus hut.
