Solingen Unterburg

Solingen Unterburg is a scenic tourist area in Germany, ideal for hikers. It offers charming trails along the Wupper River with breathtaking views of the surrounding forests and historical landmarks.

The biggest attraction is the medieval Burg Castle, dating back to the 12th century, and the Müngsten Bridge, Germany's highest railroad bridge, completed in 1897. During the walk you can admire the rich biodiversity - oaks, beeches and chestnut trees, as well as encounter roe deer, foxes and numerous species of birds.

The trail, which has an intermediate level of difficulty, is accessible to most hikers, and the nearly flat trail from Remscheid to Burg Castle is especially friendly to families with children.
