Description
Oswaldhöhle is a fascinating karst cave located in the picturesque Wiesenttal region of Upper Franconia.
This unique geological formation impresses with impressive stalactites and a spacious corridor with an almost horizontal bottom, making it easily accessible to visitors.
In winter, the cave forms ice stalagmites thanks to cold air currents, a unique natural phenomenon. The site is also historically significant - it served as a hideout during the Thirty Years' War and was mentioned in literature as early as the 18th century.
