Vogelschutzgebiet 'Rieselfelder Münster'

Vogelschutzgebiet 'Rieselfelder Münster' is a unique bird sanctuary of about 4 km² that was originally a sewage treatment plant.

Today, it is a bird lover's paradise, where more than 130 species can be seen, including rare and endangered species.

The area offers numerous observation hides, towers and paths to watch wildlife without disturbing them. The best time to visit is in spring and autumn, when migratory birds are most numerous.

Educational programs, bird identification classes and photography programs are also available.
